Pensacola JazzFest 2007 is scheduled for March 31 - April 1 in Pensacola's Seville Square.

          Headliners for Pensacola JazzFest 2007

Kevin Mahogany   # 1 Jazz Vocalist in USA

          Bucky Pizzarelli   Legendary Jazz Guitarist

John Colianni   World Renowned Jazz Pianist

          Nicki Parrot   New! Australian Bassist/Vocalist

The Pensacola JazzFest, now in its 24th year, is a free festival celebrating America’s unique musical contribution to the world.  Total cost of the Pensacola JazzFest is approximately $60,000.  The Jazz Society works all year to make this our annual gift to the community.

The winning poster for the 2007 Pensacola JazzFest was created by William Rabb.  The design is a whimsical modification of the famous Pensacola Beach sign.  It shows the swordfish wearing sun-glasses and playing a trumpet.  The sign indicates Pensacola JazzFest at Seville Square March 31-April 1, 2007.  Rabb has continued his humorous theme by calling his creation, “Tommy Dorsal.”  The award carries a $600 prize.  William Rabb is a former newspaper reporter and editor who now writes business proposals and produces graphics for American Medical Response, the nation’s largest ambulance provider with part of its corporate operations based here in Pensacola.  Rabb says that although he has spent years with a career in newspapers, art is in his blood.  He is originally from Meridian, MS and is the son of Mississippi artist Clo Ann Rabb.

The 2007 posters will be available for sale at the 24th Pensacola JazzFest, which takes place in Seville Square, located in historic downtown Pensacola, on Saturday and Sunday, March 31 - April 1.  Performances will run from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from noon to 5:45 p.m. on Sunday.  This free jazz festival is presented annually by the Jazz Society of Pensacola.

JazzFest memorabilia will be offered for sale at Pensacola JazzFest.  Items include JazzFest Posters, T-Shirts with the poster image, note cards with the 2007 poster image and coffee mugs.  Other items include book bags, lighted wine glasses and beer mugs and CDs of the performing artists.  Items are now available for purchase at  upcoming Jazz Society events and  the Jazz  Society office, 17 S. Palafox Street, Suite 103, Pensacola, FL 32502. Call the Jazz Society office 850-433-8382 for details.
