Jazz Jam at Jambalaya's
Jambalaya's Grill & Oyster Bar, 51 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL (inside Quality Inn and Suites, just across the 3-Mile Bridge from Pensacola) The Jazz Jam begins at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 per person. Performing musicians get in free, so bring your instrument and sign in to jam. Full menu service, beer, wine and mixed drinks available.

With the recent closing of eat! Restaurant (our previous Jam venue), the Jazz Society sought a new location for our regular first-Monday Jazz Jam sessions. Byron Clark, a restaurant owner from New Orleans, brought a contingent of five with him to open Jambalaya's last month. He and the Jazz Society hope that this will be a good match for both.

There are often musical surprises--the good kind--for the listeners and the players. Jazz Jam offers a different experience from our regular third-Monday Jazz Gumbo events at Seville Quarter. The Jazz Gumbo events feature an established band performing a set musical program. The Jazz Jam is a more free-wheeling experience. We invite our patrons to enjoy both events. We’ve had students from PJC and UWF, visitors from New Orleans, Los Angeles, and newcomers to Pensacola who are looking for what’s happening on the music scene. Great music, and always fun! Come out and help make the Jazz Jam at Jambalaya a new Pensacola tradition!
