RECURRING EVENTS
Jazz Pensacola has several recurring monthly and annual events. Most months we host jazz gumbos and jazz jams. Annually we host a student jazz competition with cash prizes for student winners, a grant supported Foo Foo Festival event, and a free jazz festival.
Jazz Gumbos

On the third Monday of the month, Jazz Pensacola hosts a Jazz Gumbo at Seville Quarter inside Phineas Phogg's. These events focus on the music of one or two artists and include informational content about the artists and song choices. Tickets are $10 for Jazz Pensacola Members and their guests and $12 for non-members. Your ticket price includes a cup of gumbo.

Jazz Jams
​
On the first Monday of the month, Jazz Pensacola hosts a Jazz Jam at varying locations throughout Pensacola. These events have a house band and welcome musicians from the community to come and sit in with these professionals. This event is free to the public.

Jazz by the Books
​
Join us on the first and fourth Tuesdays of each month through December 19 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Spring St. branch of the West Florida Public Libraries. Joe Occhipinti and his Jazzabouts bring you the sounds of the classic Jazz repertoire. This event is free to the public.

RX: Just What the Doctor Ordered
​
Once a month, musicians Mary Chavez and Steve Douglas will be performing at one of our local hospitals to give patients, families, visitors, and staff a chance to experience the many benefits of live music. These free lobby concerts start at 2:00pm and are sponsored by the Escambia County Medical Society Foundation. Check the calendar on the home page for dates and hospital locations.

Student Jazz Competition
​
In lieu of the March Jazz Gumbo, Jazz Pensacola hosts our annual Student Jazz Competition, where we welcome middle school, high school, and college students from the tri-county area to compete for cash prizes in various divisions. Learn more about the student jazz competition here!

Pensacola JazzFest
​
Each year, typically on the first weekend in April, Jazz Pensacola hosts a free 2-day long Jazz Festival in Seville Quarter. Featuring 2 days of regional and national headlining acts, hand selected art vendors, food vendors, and beer and wine, this festival is a hallmark of Spring in Pensacola.
