Jazz Pensacola celebrated Black History Month by launching "The Story of Jazz" educational video outreach initiative in February 2024 with a 4 part series outlining the history of Jazz in context to the social struggles that the key founding musicians were faced with during their careers.  These videos serve as both a celebration for the monumental achievements these musicians accomplished, as well as a window into the dynamic and complex world that they brilliantly navigated. 

Jazz Pensacola's Story of Jazz initiative aims to explore the story of Jazz with weekly video releases across any/all social media platforms to reach as many generations as possible and are formatted to be viewed from mobile devices.
